VANDEN PLAS Added To Germany's ROCK OPEN AIR FESTIVAL
August 17, 2004German progressive metallers VANDEN PLAS have been added to the billing for this weekend's Rock Open Air Festival in Saarwillingen, Germany. The band, who replaced the event's original headliners BLACKMAIL, will take the stage on Saturday, August 21 at 10:00 p.m. Other acts scheduled to appear at the festival include ALEV, MASSIVE PUNCH, HIGHFLY, BASTARD, THE PISTONS, ENTER THE PHOENIX, SOLILOQUY, HUNGRY, HARDCUT, SFB, TEMPLE ON SEVEN STONES and SPEEDRECORDER. As previously reported, VANDEN PLAS have finished writing new 15 songs and are planning on recording 10 of them for their upcoming album, tentatively due in early 2005. In addition, the band are working on a rock musical entitled "Monte Cristo". The new VANDEN PLAS album will also be based on this topic.
